Facing Error while Creating an Email from Cpanel

Hello,

I am getting below error message while creating an email from the cpanel.

Error: No specific error was returned with the failed API call.

Further checking the cpanel logs on the server getting below error :

warn [uapi] The system encountered an error while modifying the email accounts password file: (XID h3hgx2) The system failed to create the file “/home/user/etc/domain.com/passwd.lock” (as EUID: 1373, EGID: 1373) because of the following error: No such file or directory

Please advise on this.

It looks like the "etc" folder is missing under this user homedir due of you may unable to create an email account using cPanel interface.

Just create the "etc" folder under this user homedir you should able to create an email account without any issue.
