To backup or download the MySQL database:
1. Login to Plesk control panel.
2. Click on Websites & Domains.
3. Locate the domain for which you want to take database backup
4. Click on Databases.
5. Find the database name that you wish to export.
6. click Export Dump.
7. A popup box will show you the directories inside your domain.
8. If you want to save a database in a certain directory on the server, select the directory. It will save the database on the server.
9. If you want to download a database on your local computer, then select the Automatically download dump option.
10. Click on the OK icon.
To restore the MySQL database:
1. Login to Plesk control panel.
2. Click on Websites & Domains.
3. Locate the domain for which you want to take database backup
4. Click on Databases.
5. click import Dump.
6. If you want to import a database backup from your local computer, select Upload and click Browse. Then select the ZIP file of the database and click on OK.
7. If you want to import the database from a directory on the server, select Import and select the dump file.
8. If you want to restore a dump into a newly created database, then select Recreate the database.
The old database will be deleted and a new one, with the same name, created.
In this way, you can backup and restore the database in Plesk.
